First car from the show, this great looking Marcos. Marcos was a British sports car manufacturer which was launched in 1959 by Jem Marsh and Franck Costin, hence the name Marsh/Costin. The company went into liquidation and disappeared in 2007, leaving car enthusiasts and collectors with some stunning looking motors!
This particular one is a Mantis from 1997, one of the first to come to life. Under the imposing bonnet, there is the same 4.6 V8 engine as you would find on the Cobra, with 506bhp. The Mantis is capable of reaching 62mph in under 4 seconds and a top speed of 179mph (288km/h) Not bad for a 16 year-old insect!!!
