Ferrari 512 BB - Autotrader advert

I was just browsing Ferraris on Autotrader and came across this one. The 512 BB was a car I wrote about in Octobre 2013 after having seen one at the petrol station in Lymm. After researching it, I discovered only around 900 had been produced and the blue one I posted the pictures of was one of them. Here is the one which is for sale on Autotrader. Look at the price!
I have added the link to my post about the 512 BB underneath.

Mercedes S63 AMG - 2009

Spotted off Deansgate in Manchester about 2 weeks ago, a Mercedes S63 AMG. The photo was taken with my phone by night hence the poor -yet arty!- visual. The S63 AMG has a a big 6.2 V8 engine with 525bhp. 0-62 takes only 4.6 seconds and the top speed is 155mph or 250km/h. Not bad performance for a car which weighs over 2 tons!
In 2013, the S63 dropped the 6.2 V8 for a smaller 5.5 V8 but gained an extra 60bhp reaching 585bhp.

BMW Match: 335i (2006) vs M3 (2007)

Today, a bit of a different post, not about one car but about two! A match between the BMW 335i and the BMW M3, spotted on a side street in Sale. Let's start with the 335i. It is powered by a 3.0 turbocharged straight-six engine which develops 306bhp. 0-62 takes 5.7 seconds and as usual, the top speed is limited to 155mph (250km/h). No M-pack on this particular one, it is just the SE model. As far as the M3 is concerned, I have already introduced it in a previous post but here are the key data: 4.0 V8 engine with 420bhp, 4.6 seconds between 0 and 62mph and like with the 335i the top speed is 155mph (250km/h)
So which one would you rather have? I would still go with the M3!

Nissan 350Z 2006

After the Nissan GTR presented in previous posts, it is time to start looking at the smaller coupes Nissan also produce/have produced. Today it isn't the latest generation (370Z) but the previous one, the 350Z. It is a 2-seater powered by a 3.5 V6 engine which develops 300bhp. 0-62 only takes 5.8 seconds and the top speed is 155mph or 250km/h.
I know the 350Z was first launched over 10 years ago, but I still think it is a nice-looking little coupe!

Insider 16 - Ferrari F12 2013

Today, an Insider post on a truly beautiful Ferrari, the brand new F12. I had spotted a black F12 one week after its UK launch a few months ago, this time, I am inside it, at the Stratstone Ferrari dealership in Wilmslow. I must say, staff there are true car enthusiasts and are always incredibly friendly (like staff at Stratstone Aston Martin, Wilmslow). If you have the opportunity, call in for a look around, or to place your order!!!

Bentley Continental Flying Spur 2005

Back in Wilmslow today again, but this time on a side street and not at a dealership's, with this big Bentley Continental Flying Spur. As I mentioned in a earlier post the Flying Spur is an extended version of the Continental GT. The last Flying Spur which appeared on the blog was the Speed version, whereas this particular one is the "standard" version. This means that it has the 6.0 W12 engine but with "only" 560bhp. 0-62 takes 4.9 seconds and the top speed is 194mph or 312km/h.
Love the Flying B on the bonnet!

Aston Martin Vanquish Volante 2013

Today a real beauty taken outside Aston Martin Wilmslow, the new Vanquish Volante! The Volante is the name given to the convertible version of Aston Martins, and this one is absolutely stunning! (hence the 5 pictures instead of the traditional 2!)
The Vanquish Volante has a 6.0 V12 engine with 565bhp. It isn't the fastest sports car around (0-62 takes 4.1 seconds and the top speed is 183mph or 295km/h) but it is definitely one of the most beautiful!
I cannot wait to place my order!

Insider 15 - Porsche 911 Turbo 2013

You are in London and you want to see nice cars, where do you go? Head for Mayfair or Knightsbridge and you will probably find what you need. But if you are in Manchester, go to Wilmslow! Aston, Porsche, Ferrari... you have everything you need. Again, I know I am cheating as these are dealerships and it isn't what the blog was originally for (spotting cars in their natural habitat, not cocooned amongst their siblings!) However, if you want a few pics from the inside, you don't have much of a choice.
You will have therefore understood that I spent my afternoon in footballers' land to try to gather some new snaps. Some were taken at the dealerships but as usual I also came across a few nice one on the street. The first one though is the insider shot of the brand new Porsche 911 Turbo!
Enjoy!
