Mercedes AMG GTS 2015

Mercedes today with this rather cool-looking car entirely developed in-house by AMG, the GTS. This car was introduced in 2014 and replaced the SLS as the second AMG 2-seater coupé. There are two versions of it, the standard GT and the GTS. Both models have a 4.0 twin-turbo V8 engine. It produces 456bhp in the GT and 503bhp in the GTS. I really liked the look of the SLS and wasn't entirely sure about the GT when it first came out, but it's one of those, the more I look at it, the more I like it. As far as performance is concerned, the GT can reach 62mph in 4 seconds and a top speed of 189mph or 304km/h, whereas the GTS will take 3.8 seconds to 62mph with a top spped of 190mph or 310km/h. A third model has just been presented at the Goodwood festival of speed, the GTR, with upgraded power and performance. I am looking forward to seeing one around in 2017!

Aston Martin DB11 2016

Heading to France down the M1 and we've just been overtaken by an Aston Martin DB11. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough to get a better picture! 5.2 twin-turbo V12 with 600bhp, 0-62 in 3.9 seconds and 200mph (322km/h) top speed. Can't wait to get close to another one for some proper pictures!

Bentley Mulsanne 2014

Quite a big car today, spotted last weekend on the Waitrose carpark in Altrincham: a Bentley Mulsanne. I remember seeing my first Mulsanne at the Bentley factory in Crewe before it was launched fully about 7 years ago.  Competitor to the Rolls Royce Ghost (the Phantom is even bigger!) the Mulsanne is powered by a 6.75 twin-turbo V8 which produces 505bhp. That allows the big limo to reach 62mph in just 5.1 seconds and up to a top speed of 184mph or 296km/h. Rather impressive!
