Ford Mustang 5.0 2016

I spotted this car at the Trafford Centre about a week ago. We have started to see more of these around: the brand new Ford Mustang. Why? Well probably because it is the first Mustang to cater for the right-hand drive market! This one is powered by their 5.0 V8 engine with 415bhp. 0-62 in 4.8 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph or 255km/h.
Like with most generations of Mustangs, I still love the front and the side but hate the back of it...

Porsche Cayman GT4 2015

Very unusual colour for this rather rare Porsche Cayman GT4. Only a few hundred of these were produced, the reason being simple, you are looking at a 911 Carrera S disguised as a Cayman! Porsche have indeed fitted the 3.8 flat 6 from the Carrera S into this GT4 as well as a few extra goodies from the 911 GT3 (brakes, Active Suspension Management...). The GT4 also sits lower than a standard Cayman, it comes exclusively with a manual gearbox, has a limited slip-differential, vented front bumper, fixed rear wing... so quite a racing machine. As far as power is concerned, the 3,8 flat 6 produces 385bhp, with 0-62 taking around 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 183mph or 295km/h.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante 1989

Produced in the same year as the Porsche Speedster from my previous post, this is a 1989 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante. I spotted the car in Knutsford during my tour of the dealerships a couple of days ago. Even if I am not mad about the colour, this car looks amazing and rather sporty with its agressive front end and wide wheel-arches. The V8 Vantage Volante is quite a rare car as only 192 were ever produced between 1986 and 1989. Under the bonnet, there is a 5.3 V8 engine which produces 370bhp. 0-62 takes 5.8 seconds with a top speed of 155mph (250km/h). Some V8 Vantage Volante were also released as X-pack which had increased performance (402bhp, 0-62 in 5.3 seconds and top speed of 159mph or 256km/h) but I cannot tell you if this model was one of them.

Porsche 911 Speedster 3.2 1989

Having not done a tour of the local dealerships for a while, I thought yesterday was the perfect day for it. As usual, I headed first to Knutsford to have a look at Mclaren and Bentley before pushing on to Wilmslow for Aston Martin, Ferrari and Porsche. Unfortunately for me, no P1, 675LT spider or LaFerrari but still some cool cars around. The first one, and today's post is courtesy on the newly refurbished Ferrari dealership. It is not a Ferrari but a rather good-looking Porsche: the 911 Speedster in Grand Prix White with a Marine Blue leather interior. This car is one of only 139 right-hand drive ever produced between January 1989 and July 1989.  As far as the engine is concerned, the Speedster has a 3.2 air cooled flat 4 which produces 231bhp. 0-62mph is covered in 6.2 seconds and the top speed is 152mph or 245km/h. It is an absolutely stunning car, just need £220,000 to have it in the garage!

BMW X5M 2016

Spotted in Manchester about a week ago, the paint is the first thing I noticed before realising this was the X5M. This paint is the Long Beach Blue and it looks amazing on the car! The X5M itself is a pretty good beast with a 4.4 V8 which produces 575bhp. 0-62mph takes this 2.4t SUV 4.2 seconds up to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph or 250km/h.
